James and Catherine Archibald left Scotland in 1876 venturing south to Port Pirie, South Australia where their eldest daughters were born. In 1882 the family immigrated yet again. This time, to New Zealand, where they settled on a farm in Parkhurst, Helensville. It was there that James built a stately homestead to raise his growing family. This blog is a record of the Archibald family.
